So, now it’s February, and you are not making the progress you had hoped for when you made your New Year’s resolutions? I am here to tell you that it’s not too late to make positive changes this year.
The following short list outlines a few ways to still accomplish some of those goals that, for whatever reason, have had to take a backseat to the urgent issues affecting you in January.
1. Prioritize your list. Decide, if you had to make the most urgent change, which item on the list would you address first?
2. Create a concrete plan including a schedule to get you started.
3. Put the plan in writing!
4. Be committed to doing something proactive to reach that goal on a daily basis, even if it is only a ten-minute daily investment of time.
5. If you get “stuck” and miss a day, be determined to get back on track the following day.
6. Seek a family member or friend for accountability and support to help stay on track.
7. If all else fails, there are multiple issues and the plan is still not working, seek the help of a professional who will provide regular support and tools you may need to experience success.
I am a Christian Psychologist, ordained minister, and author of a new program created to help busy professional people get help online and over the phone. “Transform Your Life in 90 Days” is seeking a few more people who want to start the process of making multiple changes in their lives, and who are ready to make a commitment during the month of February. The program addresses changes in the total person; the body, the soul, and the spirit. Space is limited. Please contact me immediately to receive information and to discover if the program would be right for you.
Don’t stay stuck. Make 2020 a year of positive change!
