With all the negativity of many worldly events surrounding us, one of the most common fears is fear of the future. People ask, “What will happen if......?”
When we ask ourselves, “What is the worst that can happen,” we have a tendency to make common mental errors. We may not only overestimate that a bad thing is going to happen, but also the consequences of that event.
Can you believe that we are already almost a fourth of the way through the 2020 year?
So, now it’s February, and you are not making the progress you had hoped for when you made your New Year’s resolutions? I am here to tell you that it’s not too late to make positive changes this year.
The following short list outlines a few ways to still accomplish some of those goals that, for whatever reason, have had to take a backseat to the urgent issues affecting you in January.
1. Prioritize your list. Decide, if you had to make the most urgent change, which item on the list would you address first?
1. Make a plan to enrich and strengthen your spiritual walk with God.
God knows you from the inside out. He knows your pain, your insecurities – He gets you 100%. In my personal experience, I can definitely confirm the fact that if you trust God, whatever your circumstances, He will strengthen you to achieve goals.
This month I felt prompted to read the book of Luke in the New Testament, in preparation for the celebration of Christmas. It is interesting to note that the book of Luke contains 24 chapters. I issued a challenge to our Bible study to read one chapter of Luke each day, and we will complete the book of Luke by December 24th, Christmas Eve. During that time, our reading will cover the foretelling of Christ's birth, His life and ministry, all the way to His death and resurrection.

Fresh off having spoken at a Women's Prayer Breakfast in Largo, Florida, Linda Plunkett has been booked for two more upcoming events to share her story.
As part of their literature conference on March 16, 2019, the And I Thought Ladies honored Linda Plunkett with an Inspirational Women in Literature Award.
Linda has just done another interview, which is hoped to be released soon. She was the featured guest on "The Author Inside You," a podcast that has produced 80 episodes since its launch in December 2016. The hosts are Matt and Leah Rafferty, who are based in Ohio. The show can be heard on their website as well as on platforms such as iTunes (Apple Podcasts), Spotify, iHeart Radio, and Google Podcasts.
